this summer is awesome. i think i've found what i want to do with my life, and where i want to do it. i'm really content nearly all of the time. for the first time i feel like the people im spending my time with are really good people

ugh i have been inhumanly busy latley. i worked 54 hours last week and life shows no signs of slowing down soon! i leave for Kentucky in 9 days (omg freaking out) and i havent done A THING to get ready yet.

i had a lot of fun in between working, it's been so good to be back at home with all my besties. Jenny Lewis and the YYYs shows were highlights

OMFG NOT ONLY DID I GET THE INTERNSHIP BUT I GOT AN IMMEDIATE PROMOTION

OMG they offered me a position in charge of the URBAN BRANCH SO I GET TO STAY IN MINNEAPOLIS for 2/3 of the summer and go to Kentucky for a month! This is like the best thing that could have happened! it comes w. a $2000 raise too!!

school is so stressful rn. figuring out my schedule for next semester is killing me. i think i am still maintaining my 3.7 ish but idk anymore. hopefully going home this weekend will be a welcome refresher, and i will be recharged. i feel like all i do anymore is study :( hopefully it will pay off in the end.

the whole internship thing is killing me too, as much as i don't want to work with maggie for the whole summer, it's such a great opportunity and i could certainly use an extra $3000. I'm just so nervous about balancing it w/ my other job, i feel like the summer will be less of a break than the school year.

I'm honestly not sure if i've ever been this excited for a movie.

My cousin works for "Star" magazine and picked it up after Britney left SMET in LA like a month ago. She gave it to me as a grad gift. Still haven't decided if it's too classless to throw it on E-bay. It says "Born on the Street" on the back so i could never wear it obv.

Made my way through 4 episodes of "Skins" today while at work.
I'm not sure about it yet, i'm only watching in hoped of a Sid/Cassie hook-up really. I don't know where the producers get off saying this is a realistc portrayal of teens though. Ridiculous.

Tried to watch "Kids" today because i love Chloe Sevingy but my VHS was broken.

What Happens In Vegas
It was Mikaela's choice obviously, and it was terrible. Kutcher and Diaz have the combined appeal of a stomach flu. Really bad.

El Orfanato
This was so scary, and so well done and based in reality rather than relying on the supernatural. Pretty well made.

Wristcutters: A Love Story
This was pretty bad, I wanted to like it because Patrick Fugit is so adorable but the whole thing just blew from start to finish. IT seemed like the filmmakers had a hard time getting the tone right so it was just an awkwardly depressing bad comedy.

My So-Called Life (Episode 1)
I'm a little disapointed, probably because it's been built up so hard. It was cheesier than I expected but Jared Leto (pre 30 Seconds to Mars douche-dom) is cute so I'll probably give it a couple more episodes.

And I'm obviously weeks late to the game here but "Paper Planes" is so good. I think I've listened to it like 560 times in the past 3 days. Each time my excitement for "Pinneapple Express" mounts, August can't come quickly enough.

May Term is great.

also, Freaks and Geeks is amazing, '99 was a banner year for televison F&Gs and the 5th (and best) season of Boy Meets World.
